Chiong is more than a single lodging building: it is a place where hanok, garden, art, and time overlap.

The name Chiong comes from the studio name of ceramic artist Kim Ho. Set at the foot of Mt. Chukryeong in Gapyeong, the property brings traditional hanok stays together with exhibitions and cultural programs.

On arrival, the first impression is not a guest room but a collection of hanok buildings connected by courtyards. Rain-darkened tiles, lanterns beneath the eaves, garden stone, and trees give the place a different expression in every season.

There are no televisions in the guest rooms. Morning light, a walk through the garden and exhibition areas, and the silhouette of the roofline against the mountain become part of the stay instead.
